What is "used to" ?

“Used To” is used to express a habit or condition of a person in the past.
Based on the time, “Used To” is divided into 2, namely:
1. The first function is to declare a state of or custom made in the past, and no longer works today.
for this first point has the formula:

S + USED TO + V-1

Example: I used to cry when I was a child.
Saya terbiasa menangis ketika saya masih kecil
Thus, frequent crying habits of doing it, it only happened when she was little and now it does not happen.
Then how, if declared a state of the past and does not happen again this time, but does not apply to the
verb but a noun, ..?
So, for such a needed formula:

S + USED TO BE +…..
Example : Ciputra Hotel used to be Semarang Sport Centre

2. The second function is to declare a state of or custom made in the past, and still do to this day.
for this second point has the formula:

S + (is / am / are) + USED TO + V-ing

Example : I am used to standing in the bus in my way home
Saya terbiasa berdiri dalam bus saat pulang ke rumah .
Thus ability to stand on the bus, occurred during the past and the habit he still do to this day.
Those examples go round in a positive form, and what if in the form of a negative or a question?
Consider the following formula:

S + DID NOT + USE TO + V-1

Example : I didn’t use to sleep in the classroom
Saya tidak terbiasa tidur didalam kelas

DID + S + USE TO + V-1

Example: Did you use to sleep in the classroom?
Apakah kamu terbiasa tidur di dalam kelas?
